as for my choice of barter exchange i favor junk halfs and agree that premiums on maples and eagles are not for me also. as for investment with low premium then 100oz bars work well. as you know silver is quite bulky and hard to store so for other ‘investment’ ways i think mediums like the canada cef or turk’s gm might be ok for investing in glumpy bars.
as for gold the lower premium would be the trick although krugs unlike years back now tend to carry a healthy premium up there with eagles and maples. i remember 8 dollar premiums on eagles and 3 dollar on krugers. [g] i’m dated i know!

Beck people are mostly good decent people who are a cut above most and have a burning desire to save our Constitution and the way of life most have enjoyed by oppertunity to rise or fall on their own ability or decisions. Most understand the fallicy of big government and something for nothing. Picking up trash is a key indicator – remember the pictures of the trash field left by Woodstock? Although I chose 100-1000 oz bars. The fact is I only buy 100 oz bars as 1000 oz bars are to hard to handle.

Sorry…I cant vote either as I prefer thousands of 1 ounce silver ROUNDS, and that is not presented as a choice. This I feel will be the #1 barter exchange of value should it come to that. Rounds do not have all that associated premium to factor in and I believe are a bit smaller and lighter than silver maple leafs or eagles [boxes of 500 are smaller and lighter]  

Also, I am a newbe here…please be gentle. I was at the Beck “Faith, Hope and Charity” partiotic and spiritual rally [first time ever at a rally other than football pep rally...got to shake hands with baseball greats Tony LaRusso and Albert Pujols]….quite impressive and chief park ranger I visited with pegged the crowd at half a million….very inspirational experience, and I am no Beck worshiper. Many stayed afterwards to clean the park grounds spotless…park rangers and park mgt. were astounded and very thankful.

For gold, I like the old 1 ounce Kruggerrands that have low premium….just dont like the alloy reddish tint in Kruggs…..Chinese Pandas most beautiful of all, but big premium., so I just keep 25 to behold!

I have over $1 million invested in ECU Silver, Great Panther Resources, Excellon Resources, OK Silver, all held  since late 2005…and more recently 300K invested in Silver Falcon Mining…..I’m no lightweight, but made my $$$ in the markets from nothing since 1970, and know what it means to remain humble.
