labor day syndrome

the four trading days before and after labor day are usually indicative of the near future. reversals and acceleration of markets are quite common. many have commented on silver. the japanese yen appears to have topped. cotton and feeder cattle are in the stratosphere. shorting them on thursday could be the trade of the year. grains are poised for a hard run. up most likely, but beware. the markets will tell us about the outcome of the mid term elections if we can translate. the stock market appears ready for a sharp break. not a competent manager in sight in corporate america. not even inflation is going to cover up these bonehead bimbos. the bond market appears to be rolling over for a fall. i’m still waiting for the economic recovery with 16% unemployment (you don’t really believe the official numbers, do you?). the “smooth” ride is over. expect extreme volitility through at least 2014. good luck.
